1 Application
The 13Z68 Adapter Insert is intended exclusively as a connection piece between an Above-Elbow So-
cket with a Hosmer Lamination Ring and an ErgoArm Elbow.
2 Description and Function
For initial fittings of an Above-Elbow Socket with a Hosmer Lamination Ring to an Elbow Component,
use the 13Z68 Adapter Insert as a coupling. The Adapter Insert provides an easy and stable connec-
tion between the two prosthetic systems.
3 Assembly
1. Take off the prosthesis.
2. Remove the Hosmer Elbow and Forearm.
3. To correctly align the 13Z68 Adapter Insert, make sure the halfmoon shaped channel points in the
direction of the hand (See Fig. 3)
4. Secure the assembly with the lock washer and nut.
5. Attach the ErgoArm Elbow as described in the component's Operating Manual.
4 Otto Bock Warranty
The Ottobock Warranty applies only if the product is used under specified conditions and intended
purposes. The Ottobock warranty applies only to tested component combinations!
Attention:
The 13Z68 Adapter Insert is intended for a temporary fitting only. When creating a new socket,
Ottobock recommends using the 13Z47 Lamination Ring
