Attaching Auxiliary Air

The Services Module includes an auxiliary air input which disables the inbuilt air
compressor. This allows lab air to be used as an alternate supply to the inbuilt
compressor (removing the preventative maintenance requirement on the
compressor). It can also be used in the event of a compressor failure.
The auxiliary air input is the threaded fitting on the front of the services module as
shown in Figure 50.
Rev E February 2010
The Auxiliary air source must be 6 bar or greater.
1. Switch off the mains input switch, and remove the power lead.
2. Bleed any compressed air from the system via the drain nipple on the
underside of the services module.
The Services Module retains air at 6 bar pressure when switched off. This
pressure must be bled before removing the auxiliary input bung.
3. Unscrew the bung from the auxiliary air input. Let any moisture drain from
behind the bung.
4. Fit a suitable ¼" adaptor or push fitting to the input and attach to the
auxiliary air source.
5. Turn on the auxiliary air.
6. Reconnect the mains lead and turn on the Services Module.
