Hi we are having problems with the strapper pulling the tape right. It now just keeps spinning and chewing the tape instead of gripping and pulling the tape right. Have pulled it apart and cleaned it out and still does it.

The issue of the Signode BXT3-13 strapper spinning and chewing the tape instead of gripping and pulling it correctly could be caused by:

1. Worn or damaged feed wheel – The feed wheel may not be gripping the strap properly, causing it to slip and get chewed instead of being pulled correctly.
2. Faulty bearing pins (#61) – Loose or misaligned bearing pins can affect the feed wheel's function.
3. Malfunctioning freewheel (#13) – A defective freewheel in the base plate can cause improper tensioning and strap feeding.
4. Bevel wheel with pinion (#12) issues – If this component is worn or damaged, it may prevent proper strap movement and gripping.

Possible solutions include checking and replacing the feed wheel, inspecting the bearing pins for a tight fit, and replacing the freewheel or bevel wheel with pinion if necessary.
