1. Fill the void around the duct with non-combustible insulation.

2. Seal around the duct inside and outside with waterproof caulk.

3. If desired install the trim pieces as shown in Fig. 20 at interior and exterior around the duct using quantity

12 item H screw. If installing diffuser, do not install top and bottom trim pieces inside building. Use quantity 4

item H screws. See Fig. 21.

4. Connect the heater to its gas and electrical supplies. Open the gas supply and check for gas leaks

5. Start the heater and test for proper operation. The inner duct dampers must lift and close completely when

the heater is started and stopped.
