2.2.2 Electrical System
Figure 2.6 shows the configuration of the electrical system used in the V-550, V-560
and V-570. The light incident on the photomultiplier tube or Pbs photoconductive cell is
converted into an electrical signal and, after being synchronously rectified, is converted
into digital form and enters the microcomputer. The signal processed by the
microcomputer is displayed on the output device as digital data or a spectrum.
Light source changeover, wavelength drive, slit drive, filter drive, etc. are controlled by
the microcomputer.
