Auxiliary Brake Systems

Your ATV's auxiliary brake system is intended to be used as a
backup for the main brake system. Should the main system fail,
the rear brake can be activated by the brake lever being moving
toward the handlebar. The hydraulic brake system will not require
adjustment.
Checking
Although the parking brake has been adjusted at the factory, the
brake should be checked for proper operation. The mechanical
brake must be maintained to be fully functional.
1. With the engine off, apply the parking brake lever and attempt
to move the ATV.
2. If the rear wheels are locked, it is adjusted properly.
3. If the wheels are not locked, it must be adjusted.
