BOARD
Figure 1-6 is a functional block diagram of the encoder PCB. The board contains the diodes used for head
switching, a through bubble connector (for the head signals, actuator drive signals, and actuator position signals),
the amplifiers and comparators used to detect the encoder photo cell outputs, and the AGC amplifier used to control
the infrared LED drive current.
