Selection of Devices Required for Operating SINAMICS

General

Connection to the power supply network required:
• Line isolating device
• Line fuse
• Line contactor
• Line filter (see Chapter "Line connection")
• Line reactor (see Chapter "Line connection")

Information About Line Disconnecting Devices

The line isolating device for the electrical equipment may be used for correct isolation of the
drive line-up from the power supply. This line isolation device must be for electrical
equipment of machinery in conformance with the requirements of EN 60204-1, Section 5.3.
The relevant technical specifications must be taken into account in selection. Further loads
of the electrical equipment must be included in the selection where applicable.
The line isolation device must be fitted with a leading opening control switch (t = 10 ms, that
must be included in the opening of connections X21:3 (EP +24 V) and X21:4 (EP GND) for
Active Line Modules.
The necessary accessories for line isolation devices must be selected from manufacturer
catalogs.
