TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
PROBLEM
Solenoid is always on,
allowing the wheel to
spin at any time.
During attract mode,
a loud clicking sound
occurs when the
wheel spins.
Analog game & ticket
counters do not work
Monitor shows "Out of
Order- Door Open"
Motor watchdog error
PROBABLE CAUSE
Jammed solenoid
Missing or broken springs
Pinched cable
Faulty I/O board
Cable unplugged
Meters do not click as tickets are
vended and games are played
Faulty I/O board
One or more doors is open
Faulty door switch
I/O serial cable unplugged
Faulty I/O board
Faulty encoder sensor
Faulty motor
Enter the main menu and make sure player timeout is set to "motor assist"
Power down game and reboot, then coin up and allow the motor
Re-enter the menu and verify that "motor watchdog error"
Inspect solenoid to make sure it's
Look for missing springs; replace
assembly if needed (AASO1450)
Inspect phone cables; replace if
Replace I/O board (AACB1900)
Check and reseat cable into I/O board
Replace counters (AACO1000)
Replace I/O board (AACB1900)
Make sure all doors are closed
Check the limit switch inputs; replace
switches if necessary (A5SW7000)
Reseat the cable from the mother-
Replace I/O board (A5CB1900)
Clean, calibrate or replace encoder
Refer to page 29 for motor help
After a solution is found:
