s Are there any artifacts that will make the image
unclear?
Measures
If there are any artifacts, implement the corrective
measures below in the following order.
1.
Clean the thermal head as described in "Maintenance"
(page 40). After cleaning is completed, print the
quality control pattern again and then check for
artifacts. If there is no improvement, proceed to the
following corrective measure.
2.
Replace the cleaning roller and then clean the thermal
head again as described in "Maintenance" (page 40).
After cleaning is completed, print the quality control
pattern again and then check for artifacts.
If there is still no improvement after performing 2 above,
consult your Sony dealer.

1.
Print the quality control pattern (page 51).
2.
Check that the lines of the aspect check area are
printed straight, and measure the length of the
horizontal line (HL) and vertical line (VL) (either left
or right). Check the aspect from the lengths of these
two lines.
Check Point
s Does the value obtained by dividing the length of
the horizontal line (HL) of the aspect check area
by the length of one of the vertical lines (VL) fall
within the aspect tolerance range?

Measure
If the value you obtained for the aspect check area by
division falls out of the tolerance range, consult your Sony
dealer.
