Mammography Quality
Control Guide

Introduction

To maintain constant image quality for mammography, it
is necessary to evaluate the output from the printer
regularly. The UP-DF750 contains a quality control pattern
for carrying out evaluation that complies with the
Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA). Printing
this quality control pattern allows you to carry out the
following evaluation.
*
• Print density check
• Spatial resolution check
• Extremely low/high gradient parts check
• Artifact check
• Aspect check
* The density basis settings need to be configured before you check the print
density. The settings need to be configured each time new film is loaded.
The following describes how to print the quality control
pattern, the configuration of the quality control pattern,
and how to carry out the actual evaluation of each item.
