Maintenance and Cleaning
Before maintaining or cleaning the radial drill press, switch off and unplug
from power mains. Never work on the machine while in operation.
Clean the machine with a hand broom, a suitable chip removal hook or with
compressed air to remove dust, dirt, shavings or swarf. Do not remove swarf
with your hand.
Keep drill bits etc. always sharp and clean for best performance. Preferably
store each drill bit separately.
To avoid corrosion, oil all blank parts of the radial drill press from time to time.
Do not clean the surfaces with abrasive detergents or aggressive chemicals.
Make sure that moisture or liquids cannot enter the machine.
Always keep the ventilations slots for the radial drill press clean.
The bearings and the gears of the radial drill press are maintenance-free and
do not require any lubrication.
Store the radial drill press in a dry and dust free location.
