Mounting the Handles and the V-Belt

1. Screw the three handles (35 and 36) into the provided openings of the feed
(F). Only hand tight the handles. Do not use pliers.
2. Open the pulley cover (D) and loosen the lock screws (79 and 82) of the
motor holder. Place the V-belt (54) over both pulleys (52 and 66), and tension
the V-belt by pulling back the motor. Re-tighten the lock screws.
3. Check if the V-belt is tensioned correctly. If so, you have to be able to
depress the V-belt for approx. 1 cm in the middle. If the V-belt is tensioned
too tight or not tight enough, readjust it.

Adjusting the Tension of the V-Belt

The radial drill press is equipped with five speed levels that can be used by
putting the V-belt around the different sections of the spindle pulley (52) and the
motor pulley (66).
Attention: Before replacing the V-belt switch off the radial drill press and unplug
from power mains.
1. Open the pulley cover and loosen the lock screws (79 and 82) of the motor
holder.
2. Pull the motor forwards. Place the V-belt according to the desired speed to
the appropriate sections of the pulleys. For selecting the correct speed,
observe the diagram (58) inside the pulley cover or the notes mentioned in
the next page.
