Setting the measurement speed

In normal operation speed, the V3500A will complete a power measurement in
about 1 second (± 0.5 second depending on the power level of the input signal).
Lower level signals take longer to measure than higher level signals. This is due to
the fact that more filtering is required to get a good signal-to-noise ratio when
measuring low-level signals.
If faster measurements are required, set the V3500A to high-speed mode. In this
mode (for measurements greater than –30 dBm) the V3500A can make
approximately 23 measurements per second.
In most cases, the normal measurement speed is the best choice. Measurement
data filtering is greatly reduced in high-speed mode, resulting in significantly
higher measurement noise than in normal mode.
