Making a luggage area
To create luggage space, you can fold the
second and/or the third seats.
WARNING
l
When driving the vehicle, do not allow
anyone to sit on the third seat if the sec-
ond seat is in the foldeddown position.
CAUTION
l
Do not stack luggage above the seatback
height. Secure the luggage firmly.
Serious accidents could result due to unre-
strained objects entering the passenger com-
partment during sudden braking.
l
When folding or storing the seat, be sure not
to catch your hand or leg.

Seats and seat belts
NOTE
l
It is possible to folding the seat independent-
ly on each side.
Folding the second seats
To fold
1. Lower the head restraints of the second
seat to the lowest position.
Refer to "Head restraints" on page 4-06.
2. Store the seat belt for the second centre

Refer to "Second-centre 3-point type
seat belt" on page 4-15.
3. On vehicles with second seat slide func-
tion, move the second seat fully back-
ward.
Refer to "Second seats*" on page 4-05.
NOTE
l
If you do not move the second seat fully
backward, you may not be able to fold the
second seat.

4. Lift the front end of the seat cushion.

5. Flip the seat cushion forward. On vehi-
cles with the third seats, move the lever
(A) to the luggage area mode position.
6. Fold the seat belt buckles forward.
