44 Prepare and install the Secure Router 4134 chassis

Prerequisites

Confirm that your shipment is complete and undamaged.
Ensure you have allotted adequate space in and around the equipment
rack for installation of the Secure Router 4134.
Ensure you have the screws that shipped with the chassis.
Ensure you have a Phillips screwdriver #2.
Ensure the mounting brackets are firmly installed on the chassis.
Ensure you have appropriate antistatic materials.
Nortel recommends that you have two people ready to help lift the
chassis into the equipment rack and securing it.
Ensure your installation site meets the physical, electrical, and
environmental requirements described in

Installing the terminal lug on the Secure Router 4134

You must properly ground the Secure Router 4134 before you place it
in service. You can connect your ground wire to the grounding strip of
the equipment rack, but you must also ensure that the equipment rack is
properly grounded.

Only trained personnel can install this product.

To prevent damage from electrostatic discharge, always wear
an antistatic wrist strap connected to an ESD jack.

Use two people to lift the chassis into available rack space.
Ensure that the chassis is level, and align the screw holes on the
chassis brackets with those on the equipment rack.
Insert the screws, evenly spacing the mounting screws to hold
the chassis in the frame.
