(Cold accumulation evaporator)
Type-specific equipment
When traveling using an air conditioner,
cold air is stored in the cold storage
material inside the air conditioner unit. The
accumulated cold air is blown into the car
while the engine is automatically stopped
due to idling stop, so even if the air
conditioner is not operating, it suppresses
the temperature rise in the car.
In the case of vehicles equipped with an
auto air conditioner, the increase in
temperature inside the vehicle is
suppressed, so that the time for automatic
engine stop is prolonged, which leads to an

improvement in fuel economy.
Advice
There may be cases where cold air can not be
stored enough when you are about to start
driving or when you are in a traffic jam. Also,
there are differences in effect depending on the
outside air temperature and setting condition of
the air conditioner.

Type-specific equipment
You can select the air conditioning setting
during automatic engine stop by the idling
stop system from "fuel efficiency priority",
"standard", "comfort priority".

(SETTING MODE (B type)
 If you select "Mileage Priority", the idling
stop condition due to air conditioning is
relaxed for "Standard", the engine will be
automatically stopped, and the automatic
stop time will be longer. (Suppresses fuel
consumption.)
 When "Comfort Priority" is selected,
the idling stop condition due to air
conditioning becomes stricter for
"Standard", the engine will not be
automatically stopped, and the
automatic stop time will be shorter.
(Comfort improves.)
