in the "OFF" position and
that the main power supply
is disconnected. Some
freezers have more than
one disconnect switch.

IMPORTANT:
Do not press diaphragm of new
pressure switch, drop, or distort
this surface in any way. This is
very delicate and if abused will
void all warranties. Retain protec-
tive cover on switch assembly
until installation of switch.

the wires together at the ends. This
will help when threading the wires
through the pressure switch mounting
hole.
IMPORTANT:
Do not drag threads on pressure
switch through the hole in the
cylinder. Lift and gently push the
switch through.

Slide the switch holding tool into the
cylinder and on to the head of the
pressure switch, taking care not to
depress the switch diaphragm.
3. Using 1/16" hex key, loosen the three
set screws on the hex nut holding
the pressure switch. Unscrew the nut
from the switch and remove. Re-
move the spacer. Lightly tap the
switch to break the silicone seal and
push it through into the cylinder.
4. Carefully clean both surfaces of the
cylinder wall with rubbing alcohol
and remove all old silicone. The
cylinder may be lightly sanded to
remove old silicone. Clean the outer
cylinder surface (nut & spacer side)
of silicone and Permagum Sealant.
SURFACES MUST BE PERFECTLY
CLEAN FOR THE NEW SWITCH TO
WORK PROPERLY. Use rubbing
alcohol to remove any surface films.
Wiggle the switch and the curved
spacer to get the exact match to the
curvature of the cylinder.
IMPORTANT:
Any misalignment of pressure
switch and wall of cylinder will
change pressure set point and
damage the switch!
3. Scribe a locator line on label of new
switch with a pen to mark the hori-
zontal position of the switch. Scribe
a horizontal line on the curved
spacer to match the line on the
switch.
4. Remove the pressure switch from
the cylinder. With rubbing alcohol,
thoroughly clean the area to be
sealed. Clean cylinder wall, inside
and out, and clean mating surface of
pressure switch. Allow to dry. It is
important that surfaces receiving the
sealant are clean to ensure a good
bond.
