IMPORTANT!
If you will be using the
AutoLock: Do not pull the
vehicle belt all the way out
to lock it BEFORE routing the
belt. This will make thread-
ing the shoulder belt into the
AutoLock easier.
If you will not be using the
AutoLock: Review pages 31-
36 and your vehicle owner's
manual to determine what kind
of vehicle belt you have and
how to lock a child restraint in
place.

Route Vehicle Lap or
Lap/Shoulder Belt
Through Base Belt Path
Buckle Vehicle Belt

Tighten Belt
Firmly push down and towards
the vehicle seat back while
pulling shoulder belt or free
end of lap belt to tighten.

Locate AutoLock on Side
of Base That Does Not
Have the Vehicle Buckle
Slide only the shoulder
portion of the belt into the
AutoLock as shown.
Pull it back until you cannot pull
it any farther.
