4.1.4 Packaging and Shipping Cautions

This product does not have a Carriage Lock, therefore, during service, make sure to
follow the steps below and move the Carriage to the center of the scanner before
packaging and shipping.
If the Packaging and Shipping Cautions are not kept, the scanner

may break. Also, the function below is special operation only for
service men, and is not open to the users.
Carriage movement method
1. Turn on the power of Perfection V10/V100 Photo/V200 Photo/V350 Photo.
2. Hold down the following buttons simultaneously for more than three seconds.
Perfection V10 / V100 Photo / V350 Photo
The Start button and the Scan to PDF button
Perfection V200 Photo
The Scan to Mail button and the Copy button
3. Check that the carriage has moved to the center of the scanner.
