Using the 87691VX Tape Autoloader menus

During normal operation, the Home screen displays the operating status of the
autoloader and tape drive. If the autoloader has no current error condition, the
status of the tape drive is displayed.
If a menu is displayed on the LCD screen and you want to view the Home screen,
press the Up a Level button until the Home screen is displayed.
Figure 15 on page 23 shows the menus and submenus that can be used to control
the 87691VX Tape Autoloader. The menu tree shows the basic structure of the
options. Many of the submenus have several options within them.

Up a Level
Press the Up a Level button to return to the previous level of menus.
At the top level of menus, pressing the Up a Level button returns to
(up arrow)
the Home screen.
Note: If you are entering a password, press the Up a Level button to
move backward through the character positions of the password.
Down a Level
Press the Down a Level button to move down into a lower level of a
(down arrow)
menu. For example, if the LCD screen is displaying one of the main
menus, press this button to view the submenu for that menu.
Note: If you are entering a password, press the Down a Level button
to move forward through the character positions of the password.
Select
Press the Select button to cause an operation displayed on the LCD
screen to take effect. For example, if you are changing a SCSI ID,
pressing the Select button causes the new value you have entered to
take effect.
As confirmation, after you press the Select button, the original LCD
screen displays the new value.
