8-THEORY OF OPERATION

8.1 Description of the Working Cycle
After having closed the top fl aps of the carton
(if applicable), the operator then pushes the box
between the two side belts to drive it over the taping
head which automatically seals the bottom seam.
The carton is then expelled on the exit conveyor.
8.2 Defi nition of Running Mode
The case sealer a80b has only one (automatic)
operating mode with:
- The EMERGENCY STOP BUTTON unlocked
(Figure 8-1)
- The main rotary switch "ON"
(Figure 8-2)

8.3.1 Normal Stop Procedure

When the rotary main switch is turned OFF,
the machine stops immediately at any point
of the working cycle. The same thing happens
in case of electrical failure or when the machine
is disconnected from the mains.

8.3.2 Emergency Stop

The latching EMERGENCY STOP BUTTON is
located on the operator side of the machine
