• The adhesive glue may irritate the skin. Stop using the
adhesive if skin irritation develops and consult your phy-
sician.
• The Provox HME Adhesives should not be used during
radiotherapy of the skin around the stoma or for 2 weeks
after radiotherapy.
• Do not use the OptiDerm adhesive as attachment for the
Provox ShowerAid. The glue may dissolve in contact with
water and the Adhesive may become loose, allowing water
to enter the trachea (fig 4).
Set-up Instructions:
1. Clean the stoma and the skin around it with Provox Cleaning
Towel and/ or soap and water, and then dry the area carefully.
2. You may apply skin preparation agents, like Skin-Prep™, or, if
needed, Provox Silicone Glue, according to their instruction for
use.
3. If OptiDerm is used: Please carefully pre-warm the Adhesive
base plate between your hands for improved attachment.
4. Remove the protective paper from the adhesive. Stretch the skin
gently away from the stoma, and then apply the adhesive, in order
to get optimal attachment to the skin, even in skin folds.
5. Massage the adhesive carefully gently for approximately one
minute in order to improve skin attachment.
