4.4.2 Switching off the device

With mains operation:
> By briefly pressing the On/Off button you can switch the device to standby
mode. [Standby] appears briefly on the display. The date and time are shown on
the display. The display brightness in standby mode can be adjusted by following
the instructions in Section 8.2.
With battery operation:
> With battery operation the device is switched to enhanced standby mode by
pressing the On/Off button. In this case, there is no date and time display.

4.4.3 Adjusting the volume

> Adjust the volume using the Vol +/- knob. The set volume is shown on the
display by way of a bar chart. Also refer to Section 4.3.4 for operation when
headphones are connected. To increase the volume, turn the knob to the right; to
lower it, turn to the left.
