Procedure 28-2 To enable or disable automatic clearing of
synchronization statistics
When automatic clearing is enabled (AUTO_CLR), the synchronization statistics for
every circuit are cleared daily. When automatic clearing is disabled (MAN_CLEAR), the
synchronization statistics are not cleared daily. With automatic clearing selected,
statistics can also be cleared manually.

All synchronization statistics can be cleared at once. Enter:

FAS and CRC4 statistics

The 2902 MainStreet system can gather FAS or CRC4 statistics to provide a measure
of E1 or HDSL link performance. FAS and CRC4 statistics are updated every
15 minutes to reflect the previous 24-hour period, and can be cleared automatically
or manually.

Table 28-1 Synchronization statistics fields
Description
The number of seconds the source has been in use during the current
15-minute interval; you can update the information by refreshing the screen
(<Esc> <R>).
The number of seconds the source was in use for the last hour. The listing does
not include statistics for the current interval.
The statistics for the hour having the greatest number of synchronization source
switches. The Worst Hour statistics are based on the worst hour since the last
time the statistics were cleared.
The total accumulated statistics since the last time the statistics were cleared.
The number of times that the synchronization source has changed. For
example, a change from Free Run to Primary and then back to Free Run is
counted as two source switches.
The length of time (in seconds) that the particular synchronization source was
in use.
