7.11 Fuel tank

7.11.1 To remove and install the fuel tank and the
fuel filter
1. Make sure that the fuel tank is empty.
2. Loosen the clamp (A) and remove the fuel hose (B)
from the fuel tank.

3. Loosen the 2 straps (C) and remove the fuel tank
(D) from the harness frame.
4. Use a flat screwdriver and carefully remove the fuel
filter (E) from the fuel tank.
5. Install the fuel tank and fuel filter filter in the opposite
sequence.
7.11.2 To clean and examine the fuel tank and fuel
filter
1. Examine the fuel hose for damages.
2. Examine the fuel tank for cracks.
3. Clean the fuel tank.
4. Examine the fuel filter. If the fuel filter is clogged,
clean the filter with a brush. If the fuel filter is
damaged, replace the fuel filter.
7.11.3 Fuel tank cap
The fuel tank cap cannot be repaired. If the engine stops
after a short period of time or if the O-ring on the fuel

tank cap is damaged, the fuel tank cap must be
replaced.

7.12 Harness frame

7.12.1 To disassemble and assemble the harness
frame
1. Pull up the knob and remove the drive shaft tube.
2. Disconnect the cables and throttle wire.
