Using Slip

When Slip mode is on, normal playback is continued while maintaining
the original rhythm in the background during pause ([VINYL] mode),
scratch play, loop playback, Hot Cue playback or reverse playback.
When Slip mode is canceled, normal playback resumes from the
position reached at that point.
• When the Quantize function is turned on, you might notice a slight
delay due to quantization.

Display of the position playing in the background

• When in Slip mode, the current playback position is indicated by a
yellow line on the main unit display's waveform (overall waveform or
enlarged waveform). The position playing in the background is
indicated by a white line on the main unit display's waveform (overall
waveform).

Slip pause

1 Press the [JOG MODE (VINYL)] button.
Set Jog mode to [VINYL].
2 Press the [SLIP] button.
The unit enters Slip mode.
3 During playback, press the [
Normal playback continues in the background even during pause.
The [SLIP] button flashes in beat with the sound playing in the background.
