6. Maintenance

Risk of electric shock due to damaged device
Using a damaged device may result in electric shock.
f Do not use the device if there is external damage.
f Mark the possibly damaged device to ensure that no
one uses it.
f Have a qualified electrician rectify the damage immedi-
ately.
f Have an electrician take the device out of service if
necessary.
Regular inspection and maintenance assist in trouble-free
and safe operation of the device and help increase the
service life.
This allows early detection of possible error sources and
prevents hazards.
Defects found on the device must be eliminated imme-
diately by a qualified electrician. Do not use a damaged
device as this could increase the risk of electric shock and
damage to property.
Examples of damage:
„ Defective housing / front panel (e.g. severe deforma-
tions, cracks, breaks)
„ Defective or missing components (e.g. protective ele-
ments, socket hinged lids, multifunction buttons)
„ Unreadable or missing signs
