Mounting and start-up
− Connect the actuator to the electrical net-
work only after the supply voltage is first
switched off. Make sure the power cannot
be switched on unintentionally.
Upon delivery, the sensors and the connect-
ing cable are already connected to the ter-
minals of the electric actuator with process
controller.
DANGER
!
Risk of electric shock at switching output L' in
device versions B and D after connecting the
supply voltage.
The switching output L' may be live. Do not
touch the switching output L'.
Î Connect the connecting cable to the
supply voltage (see Table 3).
Î Install the ready-wired sensors depend-
ing on the application.

Î Switch on supply voltage.
On starting up the actuator for the first
time, the error reading E7 (no initializa-
tion performed) is displayed.
Î Start initialization (see section 5.4).
NOTICE
!
After an actuator which has already been
initialized is connected to the supply voltage,
a zero calibration is automatically per-
formed, during which the actuator stem fully
extends or retracts depending on how A8.1
configuration item is set. After the zero cali-
bration is completed, the actuator starts
closed-loop operation. The default settings
cause the actuator stem to extend during ze-
ro calibration.
