Electrical Safety
n Always ensure the voltage to be used corresponds with the voltage on the
appliance.
n The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of external timer
or separate remote control system.
n The coffee-maker shall not be placed in a cabinet when in use.
n Never pull the plug out of the mains socket by the supply cord.
n Always ensure that your hands are dry before touching the supply cord or
removing the plug from the mains socket.
n Do not wrap the supply cord around the main body of the appliance during
or after use.
n Disconnect the appliance from the mains outlet under the following
conditions:
- Before the water tank is filled with water.
- Before removing any parts from the appliance or refitting any parts
on the appliance.
- Before cleaning or maintenance.
- When the appliance is not working correctly.
- After using the appliance.
- When not in use or unattended.
General Safety
n Ensure all packaging materials and any promotional labels or stickers are
removed from the coffee machine before first use.
n Never leave the appliance unattended when switched on or plugged in.
n Always inspect the appliance and accessories before use for noticeable
signs of damage. Do not use if damaged, or if the appliance has been
dropped. In the event of damage, or if the appliance develops a fault,
contact the Cuisinart Customer Care Line (refer to "UK After Sales Service
section" for further information).
n Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended use. This
appliance should be used only for preparations of drinks as described
within the instructions for use that accompany it.
n Do not use accessories or attachments with this appliance other than
those recommended by Cuisinart.
n Always use the appliance on a dry, level surface. When lifting the unit
ensure you fully support it from underneath. To avoid personal injury or
