5. Does transmission speed become faster when a serial device is working
with Serial to Fiber optic device servers?
The speed depends on the applications. For transparent applications, Ethernet latency
is included in the transmission and may become slower. However, you can improve
communication speed by increasing the Baud rate since you can place the device server
closer to the serial device and reduce the communication distance. Higher Baud rate
should be able to be used for short cable distances without any communication problems.
