Description
Enable or disable processor XD (Execute Disable) capability, it allows to enable or disable the hardware
feature needed for data execution prevention
Set this option to enabled for use with older O.S. that are not able to manage the CPUID value higher than
®
03h, which was typical for Intel
Pentium 4 with Hyper Threading Technology
Leave disabled for newer O.S. able to manage actual CPUID value.
PROCHOT# is the signal used to start thermal throttling. This signal can be driven by any processor cores'
to signal that the processor will begin thermal throttling. If bi-directional signaling is enabled, then external
components can also drive PROCHOT# signal in order to start throttling.
®
Enable or Disable Intel
Virtualization Technology, allowing hardware-assisted virtual machine management.
Enable or Disable TM1 and TM2 Thermal management modes.
Enable or Disable AESNI (Advanced Encryption Standard New Instructions) set of instructions, which are
used to improve the speed of applications performing encryption and decryption using the Advanced
Encryption Standard (AES).
Number of cores to enable in each processor package. 1 means that multicore processing is disabled.
Enable or disable processor management of performance states (P-states)
Only available when P-states are enabled
Allows to select which performance state must be set by BIOS before starting OS loading.
Only available when P-states are enabled
Enable processor Turbo Mode
Only available when P-states are enabled
Force CPU speed After boot. When this feature is enabled, P-State APCI Table will be disabled.
The list of the speeds shown depends on the SoC mounted on the module
Enable processor idle power saving states (C-States).
Allows selection of the maximum C-State that must be supported by the OS.
