CHOPPER INSTALLATION
The chopper option can be installed as
an attachment after the machine has
been retailed. Follow this procedure
when installing the chopper:
1. Clear the area of bystanders, espe-
cially small children.
2. Place all controls in neutral, stop
engine, set park brake, remove
ignition key and wait for all moving
parts to stop before dismounting.
3. Remove the top cover and the end
covers from the upper duct.
4. Slide the rotor into the upper duct
and secure with the bearing flanges.
5. Check that the shaft is centred later-
ally in the duct and the drive pulleys
are aligned.
6. Split the roller chain coupler and
install the drive belt.
7. Assemble the chain coupler.
8. Install the idler pulley setting the belt
tension as required and secure with
the mounting bolts.
9. Install the guard over the drive belt
and tighten mounting bolts to their
specified torque.
