10. Travel Speed:
Set the travel speed
appropriate for the
job being done.
Travel faster if all the
debris is being picked
up. Slow down if
some debris is not
being picked up. Use
the sight glasses on
the front of the pick-
up to monitor the job
being done.
Material should
always be moving
across the glass
when moving at
the correct ground
speed.
When the movement
stops, the Collector is
full or plugging.
11. Rotors:
Two types of rotors
are available with the
machine:
a. Brush.
b. Flails.
Use the brush when
picking up loose mate-
rial on top of a grass
surface. It acts like a
gentle dethatcher on
grass.
Use the flail rotor when
the leaves or debris is
matted or compacted
and the material needs
to be dislodged or
broken loose prior to
being picked up. It
also works well to pick
up pine needles and
leaves in the fall.
