INSPECTION TASK DESCRIPTION
OIL SYSTEM
1.
Examine oil cooler area for evidence of oil leaks. Examine
oil cooler pan for cleanliness and make sure the drain is not
blocked.
2.
Examine all flexible and rigid fluid lines for condition and
security.
a. Pay particular attention for chafing damage and kinked
lines.
3.
Examine oil cooler core for obstructions and cleanliness.
4.
Examine oil cooler blower and housing for cleanliness,
condition and security.
5.
Examine oil tank for leakage, condition and security. Check
oil for contamination.
6.
Examine oil tank supports for condition and security.
7.
Examine the oil cooler seals bonded inside the aft fairing
for condition.
8.
Examine external scavenge oil filter system (STC) (if
installed) for condition and security.
DRIVETRAIN
1.
Examine the blower impeller for condition.
2.
Examine oil cooler blower impeller shaft for condition.
3.
Examine oil cooler blower hanger bearings and brackets
for grease leakage and evidence of overheating.
4.
Examine aft short shaft (aluminium) for condition and
security.
5.
Examine aft short shaft (aluminium) splined adapter for
adequate lubrication and freedom of movement.
