Installation
3.1
Installation Overview
These are the basic steps for installing Anybus Communicator CAN gateways.
Depending on the fieldbus network type there may also be configuration switches on the Anybus
Communicator CAN that need setting. See the following sections for more information.
Basic installation steps
1.
Mount the Anybus Communicator CAN on the DIN rail.
2.
Connect the CAN network.
3.
Connect the fieldbus network.
4.
Configure the fieldbus network interface (if applicable).
5.
Connect the power cable and apply power.
6.
Connect the USB cable between the gateway and a PC.
7.
Download Anybus Configuration Manager from
and install it on the PC following the instructions in the installer.
