Ion Trap Series Hardware Manual
The high-vacuum pump is located directly under the vacuum manifold. It provides the high
vacuum that is necessary for ion detection. There are two types of high-vacuum pumps
available for the Ion Trap Series—a 250 L/s or a 70 L/s turbomolecular pump. Each contains
a lifetime supply of lubricant for the bearings.
