Fully Utilizing Convenient Functions

Reducing Output Time

The output time is reduced by restricting
the operating range of the print heads . This
function is effective when the print area or
output data has a small width .
Procedure
1.
Press [MENU] .

Press [ ] to display the screen shown below .

Explanation
"PRTAREA" adjusts the operating
range of the print heads to the
preset print area .
"OFF" matches the range of print
head movement to the output
data . Movement is limited to the
minimum amount necessary, and
this can be expected to yield the
fastest output . When this func-
tion is used, the time needed for
the ink to cure is not constant,
and an uneven color may result .
"FULL" makes the speed of media
movement constant at all times
and produces the most stable
output result .
MEMO
For output data whose width gradually
narrows (e .g ., an inverted triangle), even if
"FULL WIDTH S" is set to "OFF," the movement
of the print heads may not match the output
data . This is to prevent ink-curing failures
caused by the print position and is not a
malfunction .

original screen .
Specifying
print area enables print time
reductions
Specify the print area to the minimum
necessary . This restricts the range of the
print head movement, which reduces
the print time .
