Setting a Breakout box to "Network Master"

The GPI port on the rear panel of the Breakout box is used to put any one device
on the network into "Master Mode" and also provides inputs and outputs used to
control and signal the other equipment connected to this port.

To tell the Breakout to work as "Network Master", pin 8 of the GPI port needs to
be grounded. This can be achieved by connecting it to pin 10 on the same
connector. Note that switching to "Network Master" can only be initiated on
power-up of the unit – it will NOT switch into (or out of) master mode once
running.
Connect pin 8 to pin 10 and reboot the unit.
Verification that the unit is now the "Network Master" is given by a series of
flashes on the centre section LEDs as the unit reboots – this also shows the mode
of operation as explained overleaf.
