weight reaches to the set upper limit, pneumatic gate will automatically closes (if material weight in the
bin has already reached to the upper limit, this step will be skipped; see Fig.5-4 for material upper
limit);
 Feeder operates automatically;
 Motor for bridge-breaking in feeding bin operates automatically.
When materials come out from conditioner outlet, start the water pump motor in Fig.5-1(nozzle
quantity is determined by water addition), then start steam pipeline switch in Fig.5-2.
Check on the materials discharged from the conditioner; Adjust the water addition and steam addition
to make the materials achieve desired conditioning level.
When material conditioning meets the requirements and reaches a stable status, start the oil pump
motor while the alarm goes off——alarm——"startup caution". Stop the alarm to confirm.
Start the main motor. If the main motor is the frequency-variable motor, start the frequency converter
and set its frequency.
[Note]:
 In order to prolong the service life of the wearing parts, keep the idle operation speed of the principal
machine as low (e.g.lower than30Hz) as possible or for as short time as possible.
When the principal machine is fully started and the rotation speed reaches to the set speed, start the
cutter and hook up the bypass before feeding prepared materials into the extruder barrel (prior to using
bypass, add some water of about 0.5kg for barrel lubrication).
Wait for materials out of the die. Watch the material expansion. After material discharge reaches a
stable status, increase the feeding gradually to operate the extruder at normal working capacity.
Check the current of motor. Once the current value goes over the upper limit, the bypass gate will
open automatically to discharge feed mash from the conditioner till the current value falls back to normal
range.
Adjust the throughput rationally (set the throughput directly on the image of "parameter setting"),
water (SP%valve) and steam (SP%valve) and rotation speed of Cutter. For floating aquatic feed, it is
advised to add 2~4% steam into the extruder barrel to enhance the quality of expanded products.
【Note】:
 When higher capacity is required during production, water and steam in the conditioner and
extruder barrel will automatically increase along with the climbing capacity in proportion. Adjust
SP% value for water or steam to ensure proper conditioning.
 For instance, the equipment operates according to the following parameters at the beginning:
Set throughput
Water to conditioner:
Steam of conditioner: SP%=10%
Water of extruder barrel
Steam of extruder barrel SP%=15%
 In production, when throughput increases to 5000kg/h a series of parameters will change
automatically as well:
Set throughput
4000kg/h
SP%=20%
SP=400kg/h
SP%=5%
5000kg/h
SP=800kg/h
SP=200kg/h
