4.2.4.2 Cleaning pipeline of extruder barrel and cooling pipeline of oil cooler

Water pipe inlet to extruder barrel in Fig.4-7 is mainly used to clean the barrels and secondaryly for
material processing as well. Water here doesn't need to be measured and usually use the on-site tap
water. The pipe specification is DN15 galvanized pipe.
Oil cooler works for the gear box to take its operation heat away. The oil is then cooled down by water
through heat exchange. Water for cooling usually uses tap water. Since the water consumption of this
cooler is a little big about 1~2t/h, it will cause water waste if the water after cooling is directly drained out.
Therefore, it is recommended that water from the cooler is directed to the water tank in Fig.4-7 as a water
source to the extruder.
Note: In pipeline installation, water outlet pipe of the oil cooler must miss the drainage pipe of steam
condensate, or else it will cause steam to flee into the cooler.
