4.2.4.3Steam pipeline of pipeline system
1.Main steam intake valve DN100
DN40 4.Steam to jacket of extruder barrel DN20 5.Safety valve pipeline DN40
Relevant Requirements for each joint of steam pipes on pipeline system:
 Main steam intake valve: Steam inlet flange of steam manifold is DN100 and the pressure
of steam to this inlet shall be≥0.6MPa of saturated steam. Installation can use seamless steel
pipe with size of Φ89×4.5 to connect to flange DN100 through a reducing connector.
Steam to the conditioner: This flange shall be connected with the joint of Part #4 in Fig.
2-5. The specification of pipe fitting is DN80 with seamless steel of φ89×4.5 as optional.
Steam to the extruder barrel: This flange shall be connected with the joint of Part #1 in
Fig.4-10. The specification of pipe fitting is DN40 (φ48×3.5).
Steam to jacket of the extruder barrel: This flange shall be connected with the joint of
Part #3 in Fig.4-10, the specification of pipe fitting is DN25 (Φ34×4).
The piping of the above steam pipelines to use the seamless steel pipe.
4.2.4.4Pipeline of principal machine
See Fig.4-10 Pipeline of principal machine is installed on the support rack. Relevant
Requirements to pipeline of principal machine are as following:
 Steam inlet to the extruder barrel: This flange shall be connected to the joint with Part #3 in
Fig.4-9;
 Condensate drainage: This joint is used for condensate water drainage, mainly to drain the
condensate in the primary pipeline for startup. Before each startup, drain it once with a
drainage amount of 1~2kg.
Steam inlet of jacket: This inlet shall be connected to the joint with Part #4 in Fig.4-9.
Drainage outlet of jacket cooling water: The water consumption to cool the extruder
barrels at elevated temperature is about 1~1.5t/h, which is a bit high. We can recycle the
water heated by the jacket into the above-mentioned water tank, therefore not only to avoid
water waste but further to benefit the curing of materials when putting the water at higher
