The semi-automatic control system uses button-type panel control without touch screen. See Fig.2-15.
The sole control performance of the control box of semi-automatic pipeline system is the control of steam
pipelines to conditioner and extrusion barrel. Referring to the instruments at mid-lower part of Fig2-15, it
regulates the opening of the constant-proportional control valve through controlling of the output current
4~20mA. Meanwhile, this instrument indicates the flow rate of the steam through receiving the current
signal of the flow meter.
2.3.5.3 Manual control pipeline system and its control
For the manual pipeline system, see Fig. 2-16. In manual pipeline system, all the
constant-proportional control valves, flow meters and pneumatic ball valves are gone, compared to
full-automated or semi-automated pipeline systems. Water addition to the extrusion barrel and conditioner
is the same as that in the semi-automatic pipeline system, as shown in Fig. 2-13.
The steam part of the manual pipeline system includes a steam manifold and associated auxiliary
facilities as well as steam pipeline to extrusion barrel, to jacket of the extrusion barrel, and to the
conditioner. Each of these three pipelines is not equipped with constant-proportional control valve, flow
meter nor pneumatic ball valve but with a strainer and a pressure reducing valve.
Water and steam addition of the extruder system equipped with manual pipeline system is implemented
by manpower.
