(up to software version A10)

- Disconnect the exhaust-gas analyzer from the mains.
- Unpack the O
measuring sensor and unscrew the closure cap.
2
Leave the O-ring on the screw-in gland of the O
sensor.
! Remember the adjustment time of 30 minutes.
- In the case of exhaust-gas analyzers without built-in O
ring sensor, remove the closure cap from the screw-in gland on
the rear of the device.
- In the case of exhaust-gas analyzers with already integrated O
measuring sensor, remove the connector from the O
ring sensor located on the rear of the device and unscrew the
O
measuring sensor.
2
- Screw in the new O
measuring sensor by hand without using
2
tools. Ensure that it is completely tight.
- Plug the connector into the O
Before putting the device into operation, the zero of the O
measuring sensor must be calibrated with test gas (14% CO
N
). The zero must be checked at half-yearly intervals and re-
2
calibrated if incorrect because of measurements of the excess-
air factor.
Work procedure:
- Connect the exhaust-gas analyzer to the mains and switch on.
Wait until the warm-up time of 3 minutes is over.
- In input mode (see Section 4.1.8), press the Select button 8 x.
"0F.An" appears in the temperature/lambda display field.
- Press the Enter/Cursor Up key together with the Select key.
Now "0F.Ei" appears in the temperature/lambda display field.
In the O
display field, "0FF5" appears (no offset for O
2
measurement). The engine-speed field contains a display in
millivolts.
- Connect a test-gas bottle to the calibration-gas inlet and
introduce calibration gas at an admission pressure of 0.7 bar.
The millivolt display in the engine-speed display field drops with
the flow. Once it has fallen below 80 mV, the display "0FF5" in
the O
display field disappears. Zero has been found when the
2
millivolt display remains constant. Store the zero by pressing
the Select key.
