i Here, likewise, use Extran MA
cleaning fluid (see Section 10.1 on
cleaning the lamp).
Procedure:
- Remove the analyzer part.
- Unscrew the analyzer part components
and clean the seals (1) and windows (2)
with a damp, lint-free cloth.
- Clean the analyzing chambers (3) with
a damp bottle brush. Do not immerse
the analyzing chambers in cleaning
fluid.
Take care to ensure that as little moisture
as possible gets behind the reflector pa-
nel. Next, thoroughly clean off the analy-
zing chambers with distilled or deminera-
lized water. After this, dry with a hot-air
dryer.
! Do not use alcohol!
If, during cleaning, you discover that oil or
combustion residues have penetrated the
analyzer part, the hoses for the test-gas
duct will have to be replaced. In this case,
the O
measuring sensor will also have to

be checked for impurities and replaced if
necessary (Section 10.6).
! You must use a torque screwdriver
with a tightening torque of 1.6 Nm for
assembling the analyzer part.
After installing the analyzer part, you
must:
- Check the service limit values
(Section 10.5), and
- Re-tune the exhaust-gas analyzer
(Section 6.3).
In Section 8.7, Faulty channel amplifier, a lower limit value of + 1 V and an upper limit
value of + 3.5 V is specified. When values fall below or exceed these limits, the error
message Err 1, Err 2 or Err 3 occur.
After cleaning or replacing a lamp, the analyzer part, a receiving chamber or the chopper,
the ADC values of the amplifier outputs must be tested in the Test mode menu (Section
4.2).
The displayed values of the HC, CO and CO
narrow window of + 1.5 V to + 3.0 V, sufficiently far from the limit of error. If the limit values
are not within this window, you must assume that a fault is still present or an additional fault
has occurred. Check the possible faults once more as described in Section 8.7 or, if you
have replaced a receiving chamber, adjust the channel amplifier (Section 10.5.1).
