10.1 Hydraulic Systems

General Hydraulics
Problem
1. The boom moves too quickly when
unfolding/folding.
Restrictor
2. Hydraulic system fold/tilt functions
will not operate. (HZ Only)
3. One function (fold or tilt) will not
operate. (HZ Only)
4. Multiple hydraulic functions with one
switch activated. (HZ Only)
'DH' Hydraulics
Problem
1. Hydraulic cylinder only moves one
way.

Solution
A. Adjust the hydraulic flow con-
trol on the tractor.
B. Check for restrictor (0.7mm)
in return side of cylinder.
C. Bleed air from hydraulic sys-
tem.
A. Check for proper 12V power
supply.
A. Check for defective switch(s).
B. Check continuity of cables.
C. Check for operation of appli-
cable solenoid (coil not acti-
vating or plunger stuck).
D. Check for short circuit in wir-
ing juction box at rear of
sprayer.
E. Dirt in the restrictor port of the
cylinder.
A. Check for correct solenoid
electric/hydraulic hook-up.
B. Check for short circuit in wir-
ing in the junction box at rear
of sprayer.
Solution
A. Check for electrical opera-
tion of Directional Solenoid
Valve.
B. Check hook-up of hydraulic
hoses on Directional Sole-
noid Valve block.
P = Pressure from tractor
T = Return to tractor
A,B = Supply/return to sole-
noid block on spray
