Installation
1. Mount the expansion valve to the bracket.
2. Connect the inlet and outlet connections.
the in let pipe clamp.
3. Connect the equ alizer line to the P O A using new
" O "
ring
coated with clean re frig e ra tio n o il and
mount the ca p illary bulb to the evaporator outlet
pipe.

Connect b attery ground cable.

MUFFLER, CONNECTOR BLOCK & HOSE ASSEMBLY
(Fig. 4 2 )
The m u ffler, connector block and com p ressor inlet and
outlet hoses must be rep laced as a unit.
Replacement
1. P u rge the system .
2. Disconnect the outlet hose at the condenser in let pipe
and the co m p ressor in let hose at the P O A valve. Cap
o r tape the open connections at once.
" 0 " ring seals.

R em ove the connector block to com p ressor bolt and
rem o ve the m u ffler, hoses and connector block.
o r tape the open connections.

4. A s sem b le the new connector block to the com pressor
using new "O " ring sea ls coated with clean r e fr ig e r a
tion oil.
Tighten the connector block bolt to 20 ft.

5. Attach the com p ressor in let and outlet hoses at the

6. Evacuate, charge and check system operation.
1. Disconnect battery ground cable and purge the system .
2. Rem ove evaporator o il bleed line and expansion valve
eq u alizer line.
Cap the connections.
