The follow ing notes apply to the adjacent tables.
1. T ir e inflation p ressu re may in crease as much as 6
pounds p er square inch (psi) when hot.
2. F or continuous high speed operation with p assen ger
ca r type tir e s (o v e r 75 mph) in crease tir e inflation
p ressu re 4 pounds p e r square inch o v e r the re c o m ­
mended p ress u res up to a maximum o f 32 pounds p er
square

Sustained speeds above 75 mph a re not recom m ended
when the 4 pounds p er square inch adjustment would
requ ire p ressu re g re a te r than the maximum stated
above.
3. Cold tire inflation p ressu re:

1 m ile .
Hot tire
inflation pressu re:
has been driven 10 m ile s o r m ore at 60-70 m ile s p er
hour.
4. Suburban loads should be distributed as fa r fo rw a rd
as possible.
5. V eh ic le s with luggage
load lim it g re a te r than sp ecified .
6. When towing tr a ile r s , the allow able p assenger and
cargo load must be reduced by an amount equal to the
tr a ile r tongue load on the t r a ile r hitch.
PASSENGER CAR TYPE TIRES

a re used at loads up to and including full rated load. They
a re available on m odels as indicated in the table.
