A pplication of machine o r ligh t engine o il to the pivots
and c le v is e s whenever truck is lubricated is n ecessa ry
fo r p ro p er operation. A lw ays inspect condition and in­
stallation of return spring when s e rv ic in g veh icle. Spring
must be in good operating condition and in stalled in the
fra m e hole exactly as shown in F igu re 108.

CAB INSULATION

Undercoating, applied to cab understructure d ire c tly
o v e r engine is highly resistan t to abrasion and corro sion
and is designed to give maximum sound deadening and
insulation.
In the event rep a ir, such as welding is req u ired to that
p art o f cab co vered with undercoating, it is f ir s t n eces­
s a ry to rem ove the undercoating fro m that area.

WINDSHIELD GLASS
NOTE:
When rep lacin g a cracked windshield,
resulting fro m causes other than fro m fly in g ob­
jects,
it is v e r y im portant that the cause of
breakage
be
determ ined
corrected .
If cracks in gla ss extend to outer edge of glass, mark
cab o r cow l with chalk at these points so that w eather­
strip flange in cab opening can be exam ined la te r fo r
p ossible distortion.
CA U TIO N :
A lw ays w ear heavy glo ves to p r e ­
vent p ossib le injury when handling glass.
