6. R em ove the b low er assem bly (pry the flange away
fro m the case ca refu lly in the se a le r acts as an
adhesive).
(40-60 S e rie s — turn the m otor until its
flange c le a rs the hood hinge.)
7. Rem ove the nut attaching the b low er wheel to the
m otor shaft and separate the assem bly.
Installation
1. A ssem ble the b low er w heel to the m otor with the
open end o f the b low er away fro m the m otor.
2. Install
the assem bly to the b low er case, connect
ground strap, and connect the m otor w ire.

Remount the hood hinge aligning it

4. Connect battery ground cable.
EVAPORATOR CORE
Removal
1. Disconnect
b attery
system .
2. Disconnect

evaporator
expansion va lve.
Cap the open connections.
3. Disconnect the evap orator o il bleed line at the PO A
valve.
Cap the open connections.
4. D isconnect the evap orator outlet pipe at the PO A
valve.
Cap the open connections.

5. Detach the expansion valve c ap illa ry bulb from the
evap orator outlet pipe.
Connect

6. Disconnect the vacuum lines at the vacuum r e s e rv o ir.
7. Rem ove the screw s attaching the inboard case half
to the outboard case half, back up plate, and fire w a ll.

R em ove inboard case half and evaporator core.
Installation
1. A ssem b le evaporator core and inboard case half to
the outboard case half.

2. Attach the vacuum lin es to the vacuum r e s e rv o ir.
3.
Mount
the
evaporator core outlet pipe.
4. Connect the evaporator outlet pipe to the PO A valve
hood
using a new "O " ring, coated with clean re frig e ra tio n
oil. Install the pipe clamp.
5. Connect the evaporator o il bleed line to the PO A
valve.
6. Connect the line from
expansion va lve using a new " O " ring, coated with
clean re frig e ra tio n oil.
7. If a new evaporator was installed, add three fluid
the
ounces of re frig e ra tio n o il to the system .
